Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BuildX Construction, Inc. ("ContractorsNearMe.ai", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information on the ContractorsNearMe.ai consumer marketplace. It covers customers shopping for pros, pros who claim or manage listings, and visitors who browse, search, review, or submit requests.

By using the marketplace you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We collect only what the marketplace needs to run:

• Account information: name, email address, password or sign-in identifiers, and account preferences for customers and pros.
• Lead-request data: when you start a service request we collect your name, contact details (phone, email), project location, trade or category, project details you type or select, photos you upload, and scheduling preferences.
• Pro listing and claim data:company name, trade and service areas, contact details, license information submitted for verification, and claim-verification records.
• Reviews and photos: review text, ratings, reviewer identifiers, business responses, and photos you upload with reviews or projects.
• Payment-adjacent data: pro plan checkout is processed by our payments provider. We receive subscription status and the last few identifiers needed for receipts. We do not store full card numbers.
• Automatic data and host logs:pages viewed, search queries, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, requested URLs, error traces).

• Match customer requests with relevant pros and deliver lead details to those pros.
• Operate listings, claim flows, verification checks, reviews, and search.
• Create accounts, sign you in, and keep the service secure.
• Send transactional messages: request confirmations, match updates, review prompts, and security notices.
• Process pro plan checkout and manage subscriptions.
• Measure marketplace performance and fix errors.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

When you submit a service request, the name, contact details, and project details you provide are shared with the matched pros so they can respond to your request. That sharing is the core function of the marketplace.

By submitting a request you consent to be contacted by matched pros about that request by phone, text message (SMS), and email, including calls or texts sent with automated means. Consent is not a condition of any other purchase.

To stop marketing or follow-up text messages, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and no further texts from that sender for that thread, except as the law allows. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

We keep tracking narrow. The marketplace uses first-party cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, theme and filter preferences, and security (such as rate limiting and bot filtering).

We run first-party marketplace analytics: aggregated page-view and engagement counts stored in our own database to rank content, measure search quality, and keep the directory fast. Checkout pages load our payments provider as needed to complete purchases.

What we do not use: third-party advertising pixels, cross-site ad trackers, data-broker embeds, and session-replay recorders are not deployed on the marketplace. If that changes, we will update this section before the change takes effect.

We share information only with providers that help us run the marketplace, each limited to its job:

• Secure cloud database hosting for application data storage.
• Cloud object storage for photo and file uploads.
• Authentication and session management services.
• Payment processing provider for pro plan checkout, subscriptions, and payouts.
• Transactional email delivery provider.
• Background job processing for notifications and verification checks.
• Automated parsing tools supporting license-verification checks.
• Error monitoring and crash reporting tools.

No other provider relationship should be assumed. Anything not listed here is out of scope until this Policy says otherwise.

• Matched pros: lead-request data as described in Section 4. Public listings, reviews, responses, and photos you publish are visible to anyone.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, court order, or to protect users and the service against fraud or abuse.
• Business transfer: if the business is acquired or merged, user information transfers with it subject to this Policy.

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Current windows:

• Account data: life of the account plus 30 days after closure.
• Lead requests: 24 months for match quality and dispute records.
• Reviews, responses, and listing photos: while the listing is active, plus removal on verified request as described in Section 9.
• Server and error logs: 90 days.
• Backups: age out within 60 days of the source deletion.

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing legal@mybuildx.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days and verify identity before acting.

Deletion removes your account profile, lead-request contact details, and uploaded photos we control. Published reviews may be anonymized rather than removed where they form part of the public record of the marketplace, unless the law requires removal. Data already shared with matched pros cannot be pulled back; contact those businesses directly.

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and provider safeguards described in Section 6. No system is fully secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

The marketplace is for adults arranging home and commercial projects. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided information and we will delete it.

We will post updates here with a new effective date. Material changes take effect 30 days after posting. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.

California residents may request information about personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell or share. We do not sell personal information for money. Lead-request sharing described in Section 4 is the service you asked us to perform.
